India Pale Ale is a type of beer that originated in England in the first half of the 18th century. At that time it was characterized by its unmistakable hop flavour as well as its bitterness and pale colour. In the course of time, this style slowly declined and its revival was remedied by small breweries in the USA in the 1990s. The IPA beer was hopped even more, which contributed to the higher degree. Nowadays, these beers are heavily hopped with aromatic (mainly American) varieties and their alcohol content rarely falls below 6.5%. The IPA we cook has a distinct fruit and citrus aroma with a hint of floral aroma. The taste is balanced and the medium body of this beer gives it the character of the overseas hops used. The bitterness is pronounced but unobtrusive and encourages further drinking.
